Introduction
The Opt-In section of a client profile is your compliance control center for managing how clients can be contacted. It ensures your team follows legal requirements for SMS, email, and phone while still giving flexibility to adjust marketing preferences separately from full communication opt-outs.
โ
What the Opt-In Section Does
Displays communication channels: Email, Mobile (SMS + Phone), and Home Phone.
Provides toggles for Marketing vs. All consent:
Marketing Toggle โ Stops campaign and stack messages but still allows operational texts (e.g., reminders, booking help).
All Toggle (per channel) โ Completely opts a client out of that specific form of communication (email, SMS, or phone).
Compliance Rules (SMS Example)
If a client texts STOP, the system automatically switches off the SMS All toggle.
You cannot manually opt them back in.
The only way to re-enable is if the client texts START, which is written consent required by law.
This ensures the system respects all compliance requirements.
Marketing vs. Operational Messaging
Marketing Toggle: Use this when a client doesnโt want promos, campaigns, or stack outreach โ but still wants service-based communication.
Operational Messages: Continue unless the All toggle for that channel is turned off.
Example: A client doesnโt want promo blasts but still wants reminders โ turn off SMS Marketing, leave SMS All on.
AI vs. Compliance Controls
A common mistake is thinking the All toggle can be used to shut off Haileeโs AI outreach.
This toggle is strictly for compliance and full opt-outs of communication.
If you need to stop AI outreach or replies, use the separate AI control settings in the platform โ not the compliance toggles.
Why This Matters
Ensures all outreach is compliant with SMS/email/phone regulations.
Gives you a way to honor client preferences without cutting off all communication.
Keeps Haileeโs messaging aligned with what clients have legally consented to receive.
๐ Pro Tip: Use the Marketing toggle to stop promos or campaigns while keeping operational communication active. Reserve the All toggle for compliance opt-outs, since it fully blocks that channel and only the client can turn it back on.
