📘 SalesRevv Training: Creating & Sending Email Campaigns

Learn how to create, customize, preview, and send email campaigns in SalesRevv using drag-and-drop templates, personalized variables, client filters, scheduling, and saved drafts.

Introduction

SalesRevv makes it easy to create, customize, and send professional email campaigns directly from the platform. Using the drag-and-drop email builder, you can design emails with images, text, buttons, links, and more without needing any coding or design experience.

While you can create an email directly from Campaigns, we recommend starting in Marketing > Templates to build and save your email design before sending it as a campaign.

Creating an Email Template

Navigate to Marketing > Templates and select Email in the top-left corner.

Here, you'll see any existing email templates available to your location.

You may see two types of templates:

  • Brand-Level Templates: Templates created and shared by your brand. You can preview and duplicate these, but you cannot directly edit the original.

  • Location-Level Templates: Templates created by your location that you can edit and customize.

To create your own, click New Template.

Using the Drag-and-Drop Email Builder

The email builder allows you to create your email by dragging different elements into the design.

Available elements include:

  • Headers: Add titles or section headings.

  • Images: Upload images to include in your email.

  • Text: Add and format your email copy.

  • Buttons: Create clickable calls to action, such as booking or purchasing.

  • Dividers: Separate sections of your email.

  • Footers: Add information at the bottom of your email.

  • Social Media: Include links to your social media accounts.

Simply drag the elements into your email and arrange them in your preferred order.

You can also duplicate, move, or delete individual elements as needed.

Customizing Your Email Design

When you click on an individual element, the right-hand panel displays the customization options available for that section.

Depending on the element, you can adjust:

  • Font styles, sizes, and text formatting

  • Background and button colors, including custom colors

  • Padding, borders, and alignment

  • Images and image links

  • Button text and destination URLs

  • Overall email layout and spacing

When you click outside an individual element, you'll see broader email settings, including the Subject Line and Preheader Text.

Using Variables & Custom Fields

SalesRevv also allows you to personalize emails using variables.

For example, you can insert a client's first name into your email text rather than manually entering their name.

You can also insert available variables into links and buttons, including:

  • Client information, such as First Name

  • Forms

  • Custom links

  • Custom Fields created within SalesRevv

Use the Insert Fields or Variables option within the editor to select the information you want to include.

This is especially helpful when creating reusable templates that need to work across multiple clients or campaigns.

Previewing & Testing Your Email

Before saving your template, you can review how it will appear to recipients.

The email builder includes options to:

  • Preview the email in desktop and mobile views.

  • Review how the email will appear to a client.

  • Send a test email.

  • Return to editing to make adjustments.

  • Export or copy the email HTML.

You can also return to the available templates if you decide to use a different starting design.

Once you're happy with your email, click Save Template.

Creating an Email Campaign

Once your template is ready, navigate to Marketing > Campaigns.

To create your campaign:

  1. Click Create New Campaign.

  2. Enter a name for your campaign.

  3. Select Email as the campaign type.

  4. Choose to use an existing template.

  5. Find the template you want and click Use This Template.

You'll now enter the standard campaign setup process, similar to creating an SMS campaign.

Selecting Your Recipients

In the campaign setup, choose the audience you want to receive your email.

For example, you may want to send your campaign to All Active Members.

You can select your audience using the available client filtering options and saved Client Lists.

Once you've selected your recipients, click Continue.

Reviewing Your Email Details

If you selected a saved template, your Subject Line and Preheader Text may already be populated.

From here, you can:

  • Update the Subject Line.

  • Adjust the Preview Text.

  • Review the email design.

  • Edit the design to make it specific to this campaign.

Even when using a saved template, you can make additional changes to the email before sending.

Click Done after making any design adjustments, then continue through the campaign setup.

Scheduling or Sending Your Campaign

Next, choose when you want your email to be delivered.

You have two options:

  • Send Now: Send the campaign immediately after completing the review and confirmation process.

  • Schedule: Select a future date and time for the campaign to send.

Once your timing is selected, proceed to the Review section.

Reviewing & Sending Your Campaign

Before sending, SalesRevv provides a campaign summary to confirm everything is ready.

Review the following:

  1. Audience: Confirm the correct recipients have been selected.

  2. Subject: Verify your email subject line.

  3. Email Design: Review your message and formatting.

  4. Sending Time: Confirm whether the campaign will send now or at a scheduled time.

You'll also be asked to acknowledge that you've reviewed your audience and message.

Before sending, you can use Send Test to receive a test version of your email.

Once everything looks correct, click Send Campaign.

Saving Drafts & Managing Email Campaigns

If you're not ready to send your campaign, you can save it as a draft and return to it later.

From the Campaigns page, you can:

  • Open saved drafts to continue editing.

  • Adjust your campaign list view.

  • Duplicate an existing campaign.

  • Delete drafts you no longer need.

  • Create a new campaign at any time.

This is especially helpful when you're preparing marketing emails in advance or want to reuse a previous campaign as a starting point.

Pro Tip: Build your frequently used email designs as Templates first. This allows you to reuse your preferred branding, layouts, buttons, and messaging while making campaign-specific adjustments each time you send.
