Introduction
Custom Fields allow you to create your own reusable variables within SalesRevv. These are especially helpful for information you use repeatedly in messaging, campaigns, pipelines, and other communication, such as a booking link, purchase link, or other location-specific information.
When you first visit Custom Fields, the page may be empty. That's expected. Custom Fields are created specifically based on the needs of your location or business.
Built-In Variables vs. Custom Fields
SalesRevv already includes several built-in variables that you do not need to create yourself.
For example:
First Name
Last Name
Location information
Other commonly used client or business information
When writing a message, you'll see the Variables option, where you can select from the variables already available in the system.
Custom Fields allow you to expand beyond those built-in options and create variables specific to your business.
Creating a Custom Field
To create one:
Navigate to Custom Fields.
Click New Custom Field in the upper-right corner.
Give your Custom Field a name.
Enter the value that should populate whenever that field is used.
Add an optional description to provide the AI Assistant with additional context.
Click Create.
Example: Booking Link
A great example of a Custom Field is a Booking Link.
If your location frequently directs clients to the same booking page, you can create a Booking Link Custom Field and enter the correct link as its value.
You can then use the Booking Link variable throughout your messaging instead of repeatedly finding and entering the URL.
When the Custom Field is used, SalesRevv knows which value should populate in its place.
Where Custom Fields Can Be Used
Custom Fields can be incorporated into areas such as:
Inbox messages
Text and email campaigns
Pipelines
Marketing and messaging templates
This makes it easier to create reusable messaging while ensuring the correct location-specific information is inserted each time.
Descriptions
Descriptions are optional but can be helpful, especially when the purpose of a Custom Field may not be immediately obvious.
Similar to other areas of SalesRevv, descriptions provide the AI Assistant with additional context about what the information represents and how it should be understood.
Pro Tip: Custom Fields are especially useful for information that stays consistent but gets used frequently. Instead of repeatedly adding the same booking or purchase link across different messages and pipelines, create it once as a Custom Field and reuse the variable wherever you need it.
